Deals & Scenarios

A Deal is one real player-club commercial case. It keeps the represented player, primary club, responsible agent, next step, stage, history and sources together. Opening it means the interest is actionable; it does not mean that any terms have been accepted.

A Scenario is one proposed structure inside that Deal. Its type and terms can change without changing the Deal's stage. Keep competing destination clubs as separate Deals, but use Scenarios when comparing different structures with the same club.

Pipeline tracks the agency's pursuit of a player mandate. Deals track an actionable player-club commercial case. Securing a mandate does not convert a Pipeline card into a Deal, and opening a Deal does not remove the player from Pipeline.

Their stages and responsible people remain independent because mandate acquisition and transaction responsibility may belong to different people.

Select one represented player, one primary target or current club, one responsible agent and a short known next step. A Deal can exist without a Scenario. You can add a type hint for the first Scenario, but type belongs to the Scenario rather than the Deal itself.

An accepted Inbox proposal may prefill a Deal only through the existing review step. Club interest never opens a Deal or creates commercial terms by itself.

Choose Create a scenario, then start blank or use a template. Add only the terms you need. Typed terms support calculation, while a custom narrative term preserves wording that does not fit the common set.

Transfer

Fee, instalments, add-ons, sell-on, wage, signing bonus and duration.

Loan

Loan fee, wage split, option or obligation, conversion, recall and break terms.

Free transfer

Wage, duration, signing bonus and conditional bonuses.

Renewal

Wage, duration, extension options and bonuses.

Save incomplete work when that is all you know. Relai keeps missing currencies, parties, triggers, percentage bases and dates visible as data gaps. It does not copy an unstated value from another Scenario. Duplicate a Scenario when you want a linked alternative without changing the saved original.

Compare up to three Scenarios side by side. Relai highlights added, removed and changed terms, payment timing, narrative terms and unresolved items. It calculates guaranteed, selected and bounded maximum outcomes from the terms recorded and the conditional branches you explicitly select.

Results show player gross remuneration, target-club committed cost, current or selling club proceeds and agency projected commission, with the arithmetic behind each figure. GBP, EUR, USD and any other currencies remain in parallel totals: Relai does not convert, combine or rank them as though they were equivalent.

Open Share terms from a saved, non-archived Scenario. If the Scenario has unsaved changes, save a revision first. The preview stays pinned to that exact revision.

Choose Player, Club or Agency / internal as the audience. The Player and Club safe presets remove internal commission and margin details. Choose the content yourself only when a different scope is needed.

Snapshot-only assumptions change the preview, not the saved Scenario. Review the terms, timing, estimated figures and any missing information. Still to confirm appears only when the selected content has unresolved details.

Copy as text and Download PDF preserve the exact outward representation and its Scenario data as an immutable Share artifact. Different currencies remain separate.

Choose Record communication only after a real conversation or message. Add the people you told, the channel and the time. You can also add a note or supporting evidence.

Record what they saw: the exact Relai text or PDF, a verbal walkthrough, or something prepared elsewhere. Relai pins the saved revision, assumptions, included content and visible gaps to the record.

A communication record says what was shared. It does not mean that the recipient accepted the terms. A correction creates another History entry and never silently changes the original record.

Select at most one optional Working Scenario to show which structure the agency is currently using. That selection records who acted and when. It does not mean that anyone received, approved or accepted the terms.

Confirm Agreed terms freezes the exact revision and its assumptions. Only the responsible agent or an agency administrator can do this. Later changes begin a linked Scenario. They never rewrite a Share artifact, communication record or agreed snapshot.

The Deal stage describes what is true in the real world. Working selection, assumptions, saves, Share artifacts and communication never move it. Moving to Terms agreed requires an Agreed terms snapshot. Moving to Completed requires the responsible agent or an administrator to confirm signing or registration.

Exploring

The case is open and possible structures are being explored.

Negotiating

Talks, bids, offers or negotiations are live.

Terms agreed

An exact Scenario version has been confirmed as Agreed terms.

Completed

The transaction happened and is retained as history.

Ended

The case ended or was parked, but its context remains useful.

After explicit completion, the Deal's completion review prepares candidates from the Agreed terms: Clause records, dated payment milestones and key obligations. Clause candidates continue through Clause create, and milestones or obligations through prefilled Task drafts.

None of those downstream records is written when the Deal becomes Completed. Review and confirm each candidate inside the Deal. These deterministic candidates do not appear in the AI Inbox.

A Deal that previously held material commercial fields may contain a Working Scenario named Existing recorded terms. It preserves the old values and is marked Needs review because the earlier record may not contain parties, triggers, percentage bases, dates or other context required by the Scenario model.

Check the visible data gaps before relying on it, then save a correction as a new revision if needed. A migrated Deal with no material commercial terms receives no Scenario. The old fields remain a bounded read-only fallback during the migration; new commercial edits belong in Scenario revisions.

Revisions preserve meaningful saves. Working changes, Share artifacts, communication, agreement and stage changes record the actor and time. Evidence may be linked to the Deal, a Scenario or a stable term without duplicating the original source.

Workspace collaborators can build and edit draft Scenarios. Only the responsible agent or an administrator can confirm Agreed terms or Completed. An untouched internal draft may be deleted with the existing permissions. A Scenario that has been Working, shared, communicated or agreed can only be archived, so the record remains reconstructable.
